Algo pasa en Brooklyn, no paran de emerger grupos buenísimos de este distrito, pero no es algo que se haya puesto de moda ahora, The National y Nada Surf son dos claros ejemplos de que la escena se mueve allí desde hace tiempo.

In december will take place in our cinemas the releasing of two films I've just added to my little and elitist favourite films list (which is formed amongst others by My life without me and The virgin suicides).

This new films are Black Swan and Somewhere.

And I think Elle Fanning will set tongues wagging (and get a lot of work in the future).

Pasos a seguir:
1. Sacar el disco de la tierra y ponerlo en un plato con agua caliente. Pasados unos minutos, cuando la tierra ya no absorba más agua sacarla y ponerla en la macetita.

Steps:
1. Place the peat pellet in a small disch with warm water. When it is thoroughly moist, you can put it into the little pot.







2. Enterrar dos de los bulbos con las puntas hacia arriba.

2. Press down the two bulbs in the moist peat with the points pointing upwards.



3. Colocar la macetita en un lugar fresco y luminoso.

Polaroid

Todo el mundo sabe que el fenómeno Polaroid está muy de moda. Hace ya dos años le tomé prestada la cámara Polaroid a mi padre (que había sido regalo de mi madre cuando eran novios), y ya no se la he podido devolver al caer rendida ante su encanto retro.

Everybody knows that Polaroid is a fashion phenomenon nowadays. Two years ago I borrowed the Polaroid camera from my father (which was a gift from my mother before they get married), and I couldn't give him back due to I've fallen in love with its charming retro style.








Hace exactamente una semana, se puso a la venta a través de la web de The Impossible Project un lote de 960 paquetes de 10 cartuchos con tara al precio de 10€ cada uno. En 8 minutos ya se habían agotado todos los paquetes... qué nervios pasé!! Al final me pude hacer con 5 de ellos, y me acaban de llegar hoy!

One week ago exactly, the website shop of The Impossible Project put on sale 960 packages of ten cartridges of polaroid film with a little defect at the rate of 10€/package. In only 8 minutes, they all were sold out.. I was so nervous!!! Finally, I could buy 5 packages, and I just received them today!




Estoy deseando sacar la cámara de paseo para probarlos!!! // I'm reaaaaally looking forward to take out the camera to try the just-arrived-film!

Vespa time!

Día soleado - día lluvioso - día soleado - día lluvioso, y así hasta acabar abril. Esa es la tónica de los últimos días. Es lo que tiene estar en plena primavera, y para darle su merecida bienvenida nos fuimos a dar una vuelta en Vespa por la Expo 2008. No hizo un día brillante, pero al menos no llovía!

Sunny day - rainy day - sunny day - rainy day, and so on until the end of april. That's the tendency of last days. You know what middle of spring is like... so for giving its deserved welcome we went for a ride on Vespa and we visited the Expo 2008. It wasn't a brilliant day, but at least it doesn't rain!

Lomography

Este es el resultado de mi primer carrete revelado con una cámara lomográfica. Se trata de la Actionsampler, es una cámara que no pesa nada, no lleva flash ni pilas, y hace cuatro fotos en una.
De este experimento han salido cosas tan monas como éstas:

This is the result of my first developed film working with a lomographic camera. It's the Actionsampler, a camera which is very light, and it doesn't have flash or batteries. It can make four photos in one. Things as cute as these ones has been created from this experiment.

La cámara en cuestión es la que está a la derecha en la foto. La de la izquierda es una Fisheye que pertenece a mi profesora de fotografía.
